“We’re excited to welcome Mike to Lombard Odier with his extensive experience managing both discretionary and advisory portfolios and impressive track record in retaining client business, as we strengthen our service to clients in London,” said Duncan MacIntyre, chief executive, UK at Lombard Odier. (MacIntyre himself is a former senior Coutts figure, having held the role of managing director, global head of Coutts Private Office, leaving the bank in January this year.)
The appointment comes just days after Michael Le Garignon joined Lombard Odier from Société Générale as head of its new independent asset managers division in the UK, set to be launched next year.
Last month, Lombard Odier created six new roles in London as part of its investment programme to build its UK presence. The expanded team includes chief operating officer Karl Von Bezing, as well as three new private bankers, a wealth planner and a legal counsel.
